The Illinois River Watershed is a pretty heavily forested area of land as it is located within portions of the Ozark National Forest. The proposal for the new forest habitats in the watershed maintains all current forest areas, but it creates significantly more connecting corridors that are much wider than before. Urban fabric remains intact through thinner corridors to allow for more forested areas to become present.
